This making kit includes all the materials and guidance you need to make your own indoor everlasting dried flower Christmas garland. Dried and preserved flowers, grasses, foliage are finished with a sumptuous velvet ribbon in traditional, rustic Christmas colours.
Unlike a garland made from fresh foliage and flowers, your dried flower garland is suitable for hanging in a warm position such as above a fire (using careful judgement to ensure there is no risk of fire). The plant materials will become more brittle the warmer their position.
The garland can also be packed away to be re-used year after year for future Christmases, becoming part of the fabric of your home’s Christmas tradition. This makes it a nice way to keep Christmas more eco-friendly.
This kit is ideal as a seasonal gift for a crafty friend or as a home project to add some hand-crafted rustic festive decor to your own house.
What’s Included?
This garland making kit includes the garland base, dried flowers, foliage and grasses, binding twine, large wired velvet ribbon and a guidance sheet with step-by-step instructions and accompanying photographs describing professional floristry techniques involved in how to make a garland for Christmas.
To personalise your garland design, you can choose the ribbon for your statement bow. Select either Neutral Hessian, Berry Red Hessian, French Blue Velvet, or Festive Red Velvet.
You can also choose to integrate feathers into your garland design. Select your choice of either Peacock Tail Feathers, Pheasant Tail Feathers, or both.
This product is made without plastic and all elements of the packaging are recyclable including the cardboard presentation box, which is compostable, and the outer mailing bag which is made from sugar cane, making it carbon neutral and 100% recyclable.
Please note. Some of the dried plant materials are spiky by nature. Care should be taken when making and handling the garland. As such, this product is not suitable for young children.
Please also be aware, some of the preserved plant materials are enhanced with dyes which may transfer to fabrics and fingers. Some of the plant materials may carry the odour of the preservatives which will fade as the materials dry out further.
Dimensions:
The contents of the garland making craft kit makes a Christmas garland approx. 1 metre in length. You can choose a kit to make a longer garland of 2 metres (£90) or 3 metres (£135).
